BODY CONSCIOUS - Bee's Knees

sEeeek, your knees are rough, dry, scratchy and pachydermic looking!!  Not to worry, they just need a little extra TLC and we've got a secret recipe.  The loose skin on your knee joints doesn't regenerate as quickly as the skin on say...your cheeks.  So tired 'ol skin cells build up and get all funny colored.  Added to that, we often neglect them because they don't scream sex appeal.  But hang on right there, your knees are part of your divine female form so you better believe they're sexy.  They're just as round and curvy as your shoulders and calves, so give them their very own spa day!

*      Smush a peeled overripe avocado in a bowl (discard the pit).

*      Jump in the shower but keep the water off for now.

*      Massage the avocado into your knees liberally and lavishly for as long as you can.  Then turn on the shower, rinse and dry.

*      Microwave a bowl of sunflower oil, careful NOT too hot, just warm to the touch.  Test the temperature before you move on to the next step.

*      Now, relax in a bathtub filled up only to your hips.

*      Soak two washcloths in the warm oil, squeeze out the excess and lay them over your knees until you almost melt beneath the gentle heat, the oil softening your skin.

*      When the cloths have cooled down, remove them, fill up the tub the rest of the way, and add some powered milk. Soak in the milk bath washing your knees with your favorite yummy scented soap.

*      Finish up, dry off and lather your favorite body cream on your newly softened knees.  [See this month's The Peach for the perfect knee cream.]
